Welcome. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or a loved one, taking this step is both challenging and commendable. You are not alone. My goal is to offer personalized therapy that accentuates your strengths and enhances your personal resources. I focus on fostering the well-being of adults and young adults facing life’s significant uncertainties. I help navigate through the challenges of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, academic pressures, and the deep-seated quests for self and purpose. In my practice, I provide a supportive environment where clients can address these complex and often daunting experiences with a caring therapist.

Therapy to me, in the most basic of senses, is about what is possible when two people form a genuine relationship. That is what I strive to do with my clients, show up as my full self and use what I have learned to help support them however they want to be helped. In my experience, when two people show up as their full selves and are willing to put in the work, moments of insight occur that reverberate outside of the therapeutic space and change lives for the better: anxieties begin to lessen, the heaviness of depression begins to feel lighter, life transitions feel less overwhelming and more manageable.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic but firmly rooted in psychodynamic principles. I work with clients to uncover how unconscious patterns may be compelling them to repeat damaging behaviors.
People don't seek therapy because things are working well—they come because they're ready for something different. Change requires three essential elements: challenge, support, and personal buy-in. I provide the first two; while helping you discover and strengthen your commitment to your own growth. I will guide you with compassion, straight forward feedback and directness when necessary.

My approach to therapy is informed by both my personal experiences and professional work.
Through my own journey, I’ve learned what it means to become more comfortable in myself, find purpose, and develop agency. That process—shaped by relationships, adversity, and therapy—has informed my understanding of growth as ongoing and individual. We are all seeking continuous self-improvement, myself included. I began my career as an analytically minded Economics undergraduate with a passion for philosophy and psychology, uncertain of my next step. I had the good fortune of finding work at 40 Prado Homeless Services Center in San Luis Obispo, where I continue to work. Through that experience, I grew to appreciate connecting with others, especially those navigating complex challenges, and helping people recognize their own strengths.
Over time, I came to see therapy as a natural balance between analytical perspective and emotional connection, bringing together my skills, values, and interests. Which led me to pursue and complete my Master’s degree in Social Work.
I see my role as a therapist as standing beside you, helping you navigate life’s challenges, gain perspective, and understand what’s happening as it unfolds. Together, we can work toward building the clarity and strength needed to move in the direction you want.
I look forward to hearing from you!
